Parallel Support

HI,
Just wondering if parallel support has been planned for SANE and if so
when can we expect to see something. I have a Mustek 600 III EP Plus that
connects to the standard parallel port and would really like to use it in
Linux as booting to 95 every time I wanna scan something is a pain. I
read thru the Mustek man page and there was limited material about using
parallel port scanners, I did try given the mustek.conf file the printer
port's ioport address but it still didnt work.......Any advice?
