What exactly is your problem? I have not been able to get any TWAIN support
going under Wine either, I get messages about Vxd 5aa6 not been supported
when I select aquire/scan to start up the Vistascan TWAIN driver, then
depending on the software it crashes, or in the case of Logitech's FotoTouch
Colour nicely reports that it can't establish a link to the Vistascan
TWAIN driver. What scanner do you have, and what software have you tried?

I have been using Umax's test program and copier program, neither of which
use the TWAIN interface, to get what information I can about the scanner.

I suspect that Wine needs some patches to add in support for TWAIN. I
also suspect that I will need to add support for this to Wine to enable
me to get enough information to write the SANE backend for the Astra 600P.
Anyone know where I can get some documentation on TWAIN?

JAB.
