Advansys SCSI Linux: suspect code

Aha! I just noticed this note on the list:

I have an Advansys SCSI card, and it has worked fine with both the Microtek
E6 and my Travan tape drive under Windows 3.1, but I have had problems with
both devices under Linux (with large files written to tape, or large scans,
there are some garbled bytes. This was true both before and after I changed
the default 32768 bytes buffer size in the generic SCSI device). It looks
very much like the Advansys SCSI driver for Linux is bad. This is
unfortunate since Advansys actually lists "Linux" as a supported OS on
their retail boxes. Hmph! Back to the store, I guess.
