I'm not sure how I completely missed the AT3. It wasn't deliberate !

Yes.

The 5340 card comes with the machine.

If I connect the machine to my 1542CF, it's a complete disaster
(disappearing disks) from the time the BIOS starts probing.

(Actually it got swapped with the card I got with a £10 "broken"
Mustek which I got working under w95. BW also supply a 5340)

Haven't tried it on my 53c810 for slightly better performance since I
got SANE working and have no real inclination to at the moment though
suspect it will work.

As for the Inquiry information, it is as in the earlier message on the
mailing list. To quote from Bernd's mail (and my data)...

The vendor string consists of 8 spaces, and the model string is simply
"Flatbed Scanner ".

Rather tacky rebadging if you ask me.
And of course there's nothing more in /proc/scsi/scsi.

It would still be nice to get data from Artec on what the capabilities
really are. It is supposed to be 400dpi (though a scan of some sharp
edges says differently). It does seem to have the unuseable quarter
inch strip just like the manual page says.
