Having SANE for Windows would be another way to show the better
solution. What do some of those companies ?

- They buy a scanner for their desktop system. This scanner just
works under Windows.

- Now the next person want to have a scanner. They buy another
scanner
for their company for this person.

A chance for a change ? No ! Microsoft likes this, the PC-dealer
around
the corner likes to sell additional scanners ...

Now the other way around: the company wants to buy a scanner, but
many
people use Windows as their main system (we have to realize this !)
and
they would not be able to use this scanner - therefore we have to go
the
way mentioned above.

Another hint, why this is very useful. Remember how SANE is going on
and on, entering the server market, where normally NT is doing the
job.
