This sounds good. However, let's make sure that we don't have any
"#ifdef OS2" in the backends. Rather than doing that, we should
define another sanei_ API that takes care of the required
threading/subprocess management. If you already designed such an
interface, I'd be happy to look at it to make sure it can be
implemented both with Unix fork() and POSIX threads.
