This tar ball contains the pre0.74 version of SANE. It has been
tested lightly only and is not meant for end-users. The purpose of
this pre-release is to make sure that I didn't miss any of the
patches/enhancements that you might have sent me. If I missed
something or something is amiss, please let me know as soon as
possible (I'd like to make 0.74 available this week).
Also, if you have an Epson scanner, I'd appreciate if you could test
the above tar ball and let me know if the Epson backend works as
expected and compiles with compilers other than gcc.
Oh, before I forget: you'll notice that the AUTHORS list in the LSM
file has been reduced to just my name. This is not to take away
credit from anyone else, but unfortunately there are some automatic
tools that send mail to _all_ authors listed in the LSM file in case
there is a problem. This is unfortunate and was considered annoying
by at least some developers, hence my action of cutting down the list.
However, if you really want your name in the LSM file, please let me
know and I'll add your name back (note that the file AUTHORS will
continue to contain the full list of authors and the LSM entry does
make reference to that file).
