Hi there,

I just piced up a UMAX Astra 610S, and have had no joy getting it to
work under linux/sane 0.72. The finder program detects it, if I run
scanimage -L, it sees it just fine, the scanner works fine with the
same card under Win95, the card works just fine with a Zip drive under
Linux, but when I try to scan or preview an image, it just hangs and
nothing happens. If I set debug on the scsi and umax, the last message
I get is:

[umax] window(s) set
[umax] wait_scanner
[sanei_scsi] scsi_req_enter: entered 0x808c930
[sanei_scsi] sanei_scsi_req_wait: waiting for 0x808c930
[sanei_scsi] sanei_scsi.issue: 0x808c930
[sanei_scsi] sanei_scsi_req_wait: read 36 bytes
[umax] scanner ready
[umax] start_scan
[umax] starting scan
[sanei_scsi] scsi_req_enter: entered 0x808c930
[sanei_scsi] sanei_scsi_req_wait: waiting for 0x808c930
[sanei_scsi] sanei_scsi.issue: 0x808c930

Then everything goes to lunch.

Any clues?
