I am about to buy a scanner. And of course i want to use it with Linux.
Which ones are supported is clear. But there is still a large variety of
models, and I do not know, which one is the best to buy. I tried to find
out about this problem, but in the documentation there are no hints. And
a file called FAQ is not available, isn't it ? (URL?). The scanner
should cost about 300 US$ (up to 600 DM).
