The timeouts are "normal". Cheap scanners don't disconnect while a
scan is in progress, hence they'll hog the SCSI bus for a long time.
That's why for cheap scanners you basically have to figure in the $50
for an extra (decent) SCSI controller...

Oliver, will you take care of adding the Astra 1200S to the umax
backend (and updating sane-umax.man)?
