Scanners not supported by SANE

Manufacturer and model

Mustek BearPaw 2448 CU Pro

Bus type

USB

Vendor ID

0x055f

Product ID

0x0408

Chipset

Controller: SQ113C (Service & Quality, www.sq.com.tw)
- probably contains embeded 8032 or something like this.
Memory: HY57V161610 - Hynix 1Mx16 synchronous? DRAM
A/D: Holtek HT82V36 - one channel(enough for CIS) A/D with serial
configuration iface
   http://www.holtek.com.tw/pdf/computer/82v36.pdf
W27C520 - 64k EEPROM, so no need for firmware upload it seems.
AIC1563CS - DC/DC converter probably for higher voltage generation
L6219 - well known stepper motor controller.

Comments

Maybe this scanner will be supported by the Mustek USB2 backend later.

Similar to the Mustek BearPaw 2448TA Pro, but uses CIS instead of CCD.

On the case of the scanner the following is written: "BearPaw 2448CU Pro MODEL NUMBER: BP 2400CU Plus"

Output of /proc/bus/usb/devices or sane-find-scanner -v -v

Want to add or correct information?

If anything is wrong or missing on this page please file a bug report or use the the form for adding an unsupported device.

If you own an unsupported scanner, please send as much information as possible. Especially the output of sane-find-scanner -v -v and/or cat /proc/scsi/scsi (for SCSI scanners) or cat /proc/bus/usb/devices (for USB scanners) can help. If you dare to open the scanner, have a look at the text that's printed on the chips. That may help to identify the chipset. If you know that the scanner is similar to another one (e.g. supported by the same Windows driver), please also mention this fact.

Information for Manufacturers

Are you a manufacturer or vendor of scanners and one of your scanners is not supported by SANE yet? In this case please have a look at our information for manufacturers.
