    I have had also problems with kernel 2.4.1 + aha152x ( version 2.3 as
included in the kernel source) + Mustek 1200 SP PRO)
I wasn't able to switch on/off the scanner with the command
    echo "add-single-device...." > /proc/scsi/scsi

With the new version 2.4 of the aha152x driver I'm able to do so, but a scan
    stops with the debug-message :
[mustek] sane_read: read buffer of 4096 bytes
    [mustek] sane_read
[mustek] sane_read: no more data at the moment--try again

During scanning the scanner makes ugly noises.

With kernel 2.2.16 everything is working fine.

    For the record :

    SuSE 7.1
    aha1505
    Mustek 1200 SP PRO
    kernel version 2.4.1
    patched aha152x driver ( version 2.4 )
    Mustek backend version 1.0.104
