    Hi Brian,

I heard that a lot of people have problems with ide-scsi.o and
SANE. I just got an IDE CD-burner and was interested if I get the
same problems. I did several tests and have not had any problem
    with that.

My configuretion is the floowing in /etc/conf.modules:
    alias scsi_hostadapter ncr53c8xx
    pre-install sg modprobe scsi_hostadapter
    post-install scsi_hostadapter modprobe ide-scsi

So the ide-scsi driver is loaded after the ncr53c8xx driver.
I do not know if that changes anything.

    Bye
    Oliver
