        I have the MicroTek 9600XL, and I have a couple of questions:

    How do I find out if the light can be turned off between scans? I note
    there is a routine in the microtek2 backend, I suppose I could make
    sure it is being called... :-)

    The 9600XL comes with the TMA - Transparent Media Adapter, which uses
    a seperate cover and light therein. The SANE homepage notes that the
    9600XL only works as a flatbed scanner. Okay, is that due to a lack
    of a test subject, or did MicroTek use some sort of propriatary
    language to drive the TMA?
