    Hi Karl,

I see this problem using xsane 0.52 and the latest sane-devel snapshot.
The epson-backend reports a scanner at /dev/scanner, but actually there
    is
a HP Photosmart Photoscanner. Any hint where to look for that ?

    Sincerely

    Peter
