any problems with xscanimage/xsane?

I had some problems with xscanimage and xsane.
After a lot of tests I solved it by recompiling glib, gtk, sane and xsane with
gcc
instead of egcs-compiler.

So if you have any problems and compiled gtk/glib/gimp/sane or xsane
with the egcs compiler try recompiling with gcc.

Test with compiler you have with gcc -v!

May be it depends on the processor, I had the trouble on an AMD K6-2/400
