The current support for the Canon-2700F is terrible! Believe me, I'm the
author of the 2700F code :-)
There has been a SANE-backend for Canon scanners for about a year.
Recently I started making some extensions to it in order to support the
2700F model. First results seem promising, but the software is in an early
alpha-stage. *** You are very welcome to test it and support its
development by sending bug reports and comments! *** I need testers. Not
so many people seem to have a 2700F and SANE.
