Plus it's fairly trivial to do. See xcam.c for an example. The only
catch is that I currently do not have any spare cycles to pursue this.
If you're interested in implementing this for xscanimage, I'd suggest
that you also talk to the GNOME folks as there has been some work to
make xscanimage more user friendly.
