Hi everybody!

I agree. We should keep it here on the list.

Well, I can. I'm running the scanner on an Adaptec AHA-1542CF.
It's the only device on that host adaptor, so a locked SCSI bus shouldn't be
the problem.
For all those in Germany: I have a description of how my scanner is set up on
my homepage, URL http://home.t-online.de/home/ritzert.
I will update it today to include a short report on this issue.

This seems to be another common behaviour: There are no log entries in
/var/log/messages that show that something went wrong.

I've tried this and it works better now: the scanner doesn't hang in
the middle of the page but at the end of it :-/

Could everybody who has a Mustek scanner please try out this command:

scanimage --device mustek:/dev/scanner -l 5 -t 5 -x 190 -y 270 --resolution 200
--mode Lineart --speed Fastest

This is how I first hit this problem.

Ciao, Michael
