May be:
We - Micheal K. Johnson and me - are working on a driver that
shall one day work with all umax-scanners. I don't know
anything about the ASTRA 300 P and in the moment it is
not supported. With the new scanners from UMAX there are
problems scanning in color-mode with our driver. Lineart and
greyscale work in most cases.
I will not promise you that the ASTRA 300 P will ever be
supported by the driver, but I try my best if you give me
informations and test the driver.
The problem is, that we have an scsi-protocol that is about 2 years
old and it looks like there have changed some little thinks we
don't know. We hope we will get more recent informations soon... !
