Epson 1240U USB problem

    Hi All,

    I have recently purchased an Epson 1240U USB scanner.
    I'm using:

            kernel 2.4.4 with USB compiled into the kernel.
            sane 1.0.4 patched with epson backend version 0.2.05

    I'm having problems with the actual scan.

    I will start receiving data from the scanner but then the data just stops.
    The epson backend seems to block and never return on a read() from the scanner.
    Specifically the read() from the USB connection in the receive() function.

    If anyone would like an SANE_EPSON_DEBUG=255 dump just let me know
    and I'll email it to you.
