    Sorry, it happens under KDE 2.1.1 and not Gnome 1.4 (I played with both
    and did not remember correctly which one was the guilty). My system is a
    Debian 2.2 potato GNU/Linux box, with Sane-1.0.4, Xsane 0.76 and KDE
    2.1.1. The microtek2 backend was from Karsten Festag's homepage (latest
    version), the kernel is 2.2.18 patched to support ppscsi.
    Under Gnome, the aforementioned options just show fine even if locale is
    set to hu_HU.
