I've just commited all patches for user authorization...
All backend-maintainers are encouraged to make use of the new SANE
interface to allow sysops to restrict access to certain scanners...
Just add a
sanei_authorization(devicename, STRINGIFY(BACKEND_NAME), auth_callback);
to your sane_open function or anywhere you feel one would like to
restrict access to something.
BTW: should the sanei_auth be added to sane-frontends/sanei ? Basically
it's made for backends...
