I personally love the Tekram DC390. But you can get it at that rate mail-order too. Linux drivers abound and it's a great little card. I can sell them for $60 (+ $6 S&H), I'm a var. ;-)

I have been slowly easing from windoze to Linux and currently *trying*
to move my UMAX Astra 1200S over. I have read that the SCSI card
supplied with the scanner is somewhat limited. But, I tried to install
the USD-IS11/ISA card (that came with the UMAX) and a Adaptec 1505, but
neither were recognized while I was upgrading to Redhat 6.0 (I read that
the 1505 ISA was compatible with the Adatpec 152x).

I was wondering if any of you folks had a particular preference to a
cretain SCSI adapter to use under Linux.
