Actually the EPSON backend works a little bad about parallel scanners...
That means, it doesn't work. Unfortunately my Linux box is not up, until
I'll get the complete slackware 4.0 distribution, so I won't be able to
try the backend for my GT 300 until some weeks (at least:( ). Since it's a
parallel scanner, my experiences should do, but I've noticed strange
conflicts with the ASPI router under OS/2 and the TWAIN parallel driver
made by EPSON itself.
