Happy to report that I got my Microtek E3 working on a laptop through a Bus
Toaster pcmcia SCSI card.

Probably the main solution was to set noprecal in the microtek.conf file. The
system was crashing immediately when attempting to scan. Now it is fine. The
cursor freezes when scanning, which is a bit disconcerting, but probably normal.

Thanks,

John Craig
