Microtek E6 Update

I posted a while back saying that I could not scan color
but could scan lineart with xscanimage. I have discovered
a few more things since then, namely:

1) It looks like mtekscan allows me to scan in color only
occasionally. Most of the time, the pixel calculation
shown in the -V (verbose) output is wildly off in width
and zero in length (length being the scan head's motion axis)
The zero length would seem to explain why it won't scan
but I don't have the sources anymore so I can't explore it
further...
Does anyone know where I can download them?

2) In Windows 95B, I can scan in color but I get error number
-204 when I try to preview. The explanation at
http://204.31.16.250/~admin/pce6shoot6.html
indicates that this is a lamp or sensor circuit failure.
For whatever that might be worth.

I'm on RH6, 2.2.5, with an Advansys 3925 SCSI card.
