Try it with

scanimage -d sharp

or

scanimage -d sharp:/dev/scanner

(lower case d).

Regarding the question from your other mail: You will need the file
libsane-sharp.so in order to get scanimage running.

Neither Kazuya nor I are able to test the Sharp backend with a JX330,
and I have not yet received any feedback, if or how well the backend
works with a JX330. Therefore, let me know, if you have any problems
with this scanner. The backend version (0.15) distributed with Sane
1.0.1 has probably a bug in the "set scan window" part for the JX330,
which should be fixed in version 0.20, available at
http://www.satzbau-gmbh.de/staff/abel/sane-sharp.html
