Hi Nick,

If we add support for several selections, we should be able to
change all options the backend supports for each image.

I suggest to add a function to the backend that tells the backend
to take the recent options and store them in a list for batch scanning.

This can be a well known option, e.g. a
SANE_TYPE_BUTTON "Add selection"
so a frontend that does not handle the selection for batch scanning
can also use this, the user simply presses the button "Add selection".

This weekend I will have the time to work out my suggestions and to
read your suggestion.
