I solved my scanner problems yesterday!!

My Snapscan 600 now works to 100% in linux.

Done:
Re-compiled kernel 2.2.5 with scsi support, made sure that
find-scanner detected my snapscan.
(That was the easy part)

Got myself some updated sourcefiles (sg, snapscan-backend
and the latest sane) Compiled the stuff and got a whole bunch
of errors when trying to create the xscanimage binary, copied
the working binary from my distribution disk and suddenly it
all worked :-)
