New Feature for HP 5P/5100C and others...

This is my first contribution to SANE, so pardon me if I'm doing this
wrong, but I've written a small program to monitor the status of the
green button on the front of select HP scanners. When you press the
button, it'll run the scanning software of your choice. The 5P and
5100Cse have this green button, others do too, but I haven't tested this
program on them. The program is posted at:

http://www.surmount.com/linux.

(I'm in the middle of a server move, so if the link doesn't work, post a
message on this mailing list, and when I see your post, I'll tell you
what happened to my servers!)

If other people that own HP scanners with the green button could
download my program and test it with their scanner, and then mail me
back their results, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm not sure if it'll
work on scanners besides the 5100C. The program is still under
development, as I'd like to include other user friendliness features
into it, but it does work right now.

This program could possibly be included in the tools/ directory of the
SANE distribution. Maybe people will find it to be of use?

Thanks!
