Hi there,
Scanned the archives for this list (just subscribed) and cant find this
mentioned in the postings using the searches.

I have just aquired a Trust badged scsi 2400SP, and of course Im trying to get
it to work under linux because none of the boxes here have windows in :¬)
Im a little confused who ACTUALLY makes this scanner, and if it relates to
another manufacturers product that is supported. Aashima seems to be a big
importer rather than a actual manufacturer.

Has anyone got one of these scanners to function under SANE?
and if so, which backend did it require/what did you have to do to it.

Its there in the dmesg listed as a scanner,
scsi0 : target 4 rejected SDTR
scsi0 : setting target 4 to asynchronous SCSI
Vendor: Aashima Model: IMAGERY 2400SP Rev: 5.07
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02
Detected scsi generic sgc at scsi0, channel 0, id 4, lun 0

but after building the 1.0 of sane from the tar ball I executed the following :-
# scanimage --list-devices
device `pnm:0' is a Noname PNM file reader virtual device
device `pnm:1' is a Noname PNM file reader virtual device

Yet if I execute :-

# tools/find-scanner
find-scanner: found scanner "Aashima IMAGERY 2400SP 5.07" at device /dev/scanner
find-scanner: found scanner "Aashima IMAGERY 2400SP 5.07" at device /dev/sg2
find-scanner: found scanner "Aashima IMAGERY 2400SP 5.07" at device /dev/sgc

I symlinked /dev/scanner to /dev/sg2.
# cat /proc/scsi/scsi
comes up with (amongst other things of course)

Host: scsi0 Channel: 00 Id: 04 Lun: 00
Vendor: Aashima Model: IMAGERY 2400SP Rev: 5.07
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02

I was rather hoping it would come up with mustek there like the posts regarding
the IMAGERY 1200SP's ;)

Sanes a cracking idea, even if I also cant get my dc20 backend to work either
:-)
