I didn't realize till yet that you run scanimage under OS/2. Also the
importend
messages are missing in the first dump.

[epson] Incompatible printer port (probably bi/directional)
[epson] type s 0x73
[epson] level a 0x61
[epson] attach: device doesn't look like an Epson scanner

- I've no OS/2, means I've no idea if sanei_pio is running on OS/2
anyway.

Could need a little help from someone who has experience in OS/2
development.
