If /proc/scsi/scsi shows a wrong vendor,model and revision,
it definitley is a probelm of your scsi-card, your driver
or the scsi-termination.
It does not have to do anything with sane or the umax-backend,
so I suggest you test if your termination is ok.
If that does not help, you should talk to the author of the
scsi-card-driver!
