Scanace II Technical Details

Hi,

I've a Scance II from Pacific Image Electronics, I sent them an email
about a week ago for technical details on the scanner but as yet I've
not had a reply. While I'm waiting, I thought it might be a good idea
to ask the list if this scanner is already supported - possibly under a
different name. The scanner is badged as a "Black Widow ScanPRO 9630 SP".

When I boot Linux and have the scanner connected and turned on, I get
this in the bootup messages :-

>... basil kernel: Vendor: PIE Model: ScanAce II Rev: 2.21
>... basil kernel: Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 02
>... basil kernel: Detected scsi generic sgb at scsi0, channel 0, id 6, lun 0

It lives :-)

Now does this ring any bells ?

I've checked both websites (Sane & PIE (http://www.scanace.com)) and
can't find anything that will help - though if PIE's percentage claim
of the scanner market is true, there must be something out there.

Regards,

Dave Restall
