Hello,

hereby I'd like to let you know that a MFS-1200SP with firmware
1.07 (a single pass scanner) works fine with SANE. No colour problems.

Vendor: SCANNER Model: Rev: 1.07
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 01 CCS

What I'd like to see in the sane-scsi man page is:

echo "scsi add-single-device <host> <ch> <id> <lun>" > /proc/scsi/scsi

and its counterpart 'remove-single-device'.

A major part of the setup I spent with finding out how to boot
with the scanner powered off (muck about with the second AHA-2940's
setup), and how to get at the scanner if I turn it on after booting
Linux. Above two lines would have saved me hours.

Btw, on so far two occaisions there was a scanner runaway, even
though I always give x and y parms to scanimage. But I failed to
reproduce them (the runaways).

Keep up the good work!

Eddi
