My own plans are not very ambitious for the next couple of months as
I'll be busy working on another free software project (which I can't
say much about right now). But should the time I have available for
SANE become the bottleneck, I certainly would have no problem with
someone else taking over. I have no plans on "sitting" on SANE,
preventing others to do good things with it.

Yes, I am indeed waiting for GIMP/GTK 1.0 to happen. At that point,
we should put together sane-0.99, test it, and then release a fixed
version of it as sane-1.0.

Hugo> 1.0.1, 1.0.2 and so on and development will be done with
Hugo> version 1.1.x numbers.
