Re: non-Linux & Mustek ScanExpress

Hi,
the main difference between the older (MFS-12000SP and MSF-12000SP)
and the new model (ScanExpress 12000SP) is that the newer one
doesn't work at all with Linux/SANE.

I used the g_NCR5380 with the mustek patch (available in the
same directory as SANE), but as I indicated there is probably
a problem with the Linux generic SCSI driver or the SCSI driver
in the scanner's firmware. Yesterday I tried even SANE-0.71
and added a 100ms delay after every SCSI command, but that
didn't help.

I strongly suspect that the trouble is within the generic driver
(sg.c) because when compiling I get some warnings concerning
discarding volatile attribute in pointer assignment for a
parameter block.
