Normally the scsi-cards delivered with the UMAX scanners are not
supported by linux, but I don't know the UMAX 610S and the
scsi-card that comes with the scanner.

Don't know, the Astra 600S does not work properly. I don't
know if the 610S works, but may be you can tell me! ;-)
