Great. This is quite needed. I'd love to be able to drop my stupid cgi-script
I use for scanning. It is scanner-specific. Moreover we would automatically
gain some limited "sane client" for Win. Will you use the C API or the
network-API ?
I suppose the C API. Could someone check, if at least the network "backend"
could be compiled "Windoze"-compatible ?

I'd love to have SANE running on a mainstream system.
